About AMERICAN ORANGE

In AMERICAN ORANGE, a lawyer turned filmmaker  investigates and chronicles the devastating, toxic poisoning of four generations of Latinos in Mission, Texas. Here, over 30 chemical companies produced multiple deadly chemicals at the Helena Chemical Plant. Among them were Agent Orange and 8 others which the United Nations have hailed a part of the "Dirty Dozen" - labeling them as "the world's most dangerous chemicals." Although this town has been "mysteriously" overlooked by the environmentally conscious radar of America, environmental groups from India have visited "Helena" to personally confirm the reports of outrageous toxicity. This home of "the most contaminated man on the planet" is also coincidentally a strong producer of citrus - a contributor to the approximately 220 tons of citrus that Texas gives our nation every year.
